EM is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Santa Cruz, CA. Her color-forward work comes can be described as: psychedelic luminous nature meets retro-futuristic femme culture. Her tactile, textural, hands-on approach to design and her background in board sports and pole dance greatly informs her creations.

EM’s work centers around a theme of contrast; the space between chaos and control, the masculine and feminine, the ancient and the futuristic, the mundane and the magical.

Much of EM’s visual work is subtly autobiographical and derived from her own personal life and experiences. Whether painting large-scale murals, crafting wearable art, or directing metaphorical films, she sees her role as a conduit: transforming personal experiences into vibrantly colored invitations for her audience to connect to self and other.
