2014
RadioActiveDaywear began in a barn in Northern California, when EM turned a pair of ’90s deadstock booty shorts found during a wild surf trip through Mexico + one of her first gymnastics leotards into the first RAD bikini. She started hunting vintage swimwear, leggings, and whatever else could be cut apart and given a second life, making colorful clothes for herself and her friends.

What began as a simple creative inclination quickly became a way of connecting to the deepest parts of herself and others.

2015–2017
RAD traveled up & down the California coast and across the pacific to Australia, finding its way onto the bodies of surfers, artists, pole dancers, fitness instructors, scientists, and other creative badasses who became part of its growing community. The first full collection, PARADISE INFINITY, debuted at DIY pop-up party Goddessphere during Art Basel Miami in 2016.

2017–2024
Then RAD went quiet. Reality got real, and the focus shifted from making things to wear on the outside, to rebuilding everything on the inside.

But the spirit of RAD never fully disappeared. Through years of exploring different creative mediums, working numerous day jobs, and figuring out what mattered, the nucleus of RAD began to refine.

2026
More than a decade after its beginnings, RAD is back as a fully formed, sustainable brand. The clothes are still colorful and designed to move in, the spirit is still playful, and the invitation remains the same: come as you are, make something you like, find your people, and have some FUN with them in that extraordinary body you’ve been gifted while you're still here.
